#ComputersForRefugees – Our Charity Initiative
Following Russian aggression on Ukraine in February 2022, millions of people, mostly women and children, were forced to flee their homes to escape the fighting. A lot of those who left brought only with them what they could carry, leaving behind their possessions and many basic necessities.
Poland is the country that has taken in the most refugees, with over 1 million people seeking shelter there as of the end of 2022. The Polish have been working hard to provide for these refugees, but we need all the help we can get.
As a company with several Ukrainian employees and simply caring human beings, we felt a responsibility to help those in need. So we decided to launch a charitable initiative – Computers for Refugees.
#ComputersForRefugees – What Is It About?
Computers for Refugees is a charity initiative that we launched soon after the Russian attack on Ukraine. Its goal is to collect and donate computers, laptops, and the necessary equipment (including chairs, desks, keyboards, mouses, etc.) from individuals and companies who no longer need them.
We then clean and refurbish the computers, install fresh software, and donate them to Ukrainian children and families that arrived in Poland following the Russian aggression.
We want to help them continue their education as well as stay in touch with their loved ones back home or in other parts of the world.
Once we have the equipment ready, we work closely with other Polish charities, such as Monar, Caritas, and WartoRazem, to find families that need it.
#ComputersForRefugees – What We Did
As of early 2023, thanks to our donors and the full engagement of our team, we’ve managed to collect and donate:
- 50+ headphones,
- 165+ laptops/computers,
- 40 chairs,
- 32 desks.
And still counting! We are planning to continue this initiative for as long as there is a need for it.
#ComputersForRefugees – How Can You Help?
If you have any old computers, laptops, or equipment that you no longer need, we would be very grateful if you could donate them to our cause. We will make sure that they go to a good home and are put to good use.
To donate any equipment, please fill out this registration form. Then, we will contact you to draft the contract of donation and set a date for the handover.
Once the equipment is donated, you will know where it went and to whom.
